This is a cat-shaped black licorice (“drop” in Dutch means licorice) from the Netherlands.
It’s described as “hard, sweet, black licorice in the shape of a cat” for the “Hard Zoet” (hard sweet) variant.
Sweet chewy licorice in the shape of a cat. This delicious licorice has the perfect balance of pure licorice extract and anise and creates a just-right taste!
It's a classic style of Dutch licorice (not the super salty “salmiak” kind, but sweet licorice) in cat shape.
Texture/taste: Firm structure, chewy. One review says the structure is “wonderfully firm and nicely chewable”.
If you like traditional sweet black licorice and want something nostalgic / classic Dutch style, the Venco Katjes Drop is a good choice.
