These are black licorice sweets in the shape of little cats (“Kat”, “Katjes” = “cats” in Dutch).
The texture: firm but chewable rather than truly hard or soft.
These cat shaped pieces can not be described as hard nor soft but they do have a great sweet flavour and are very chewy.
Flavour profile: sweet licorice flavour with a mild salmiak (ammonium chloride / salty licorice) edge.
The cat‑shaped form is partly novelty: a playful twist on traditional Dutch licorice. The shapes make them a fun snack, conversation piece, or interesting gift.
Packaging: sold by weight (loose) into clear plastic sealed and labelled bag to the selected weight or factory prepacked as pictured.
